CandyGirl Video Jumps on the 3D Bandwagon... sort of

I have a good friend that I visit from time to time and when we get together, we talk about everything from movies to music to sexy models and everything in between. My friend is a longtime fan of 3D, has been since he was a child. He owns vintage 3D cameras, viewmasters, 3D viewers and more. Recently we've been talking about the whole explosion of 3D in our culture. We both believe it's overkill and a fad that will burn out sooner rather than later. For example, 3D televisions? Do I really need to watch the big game or the evening fuckin' news in 3D?! It's too much for my taste.

3D should be something special that people reach for on a limited basis. For example, an evening out at an Imax screening, a 3D comic book or collector card of some kind... but not all the freakin' time people. I love 3D, but let's get it in small doses, not 24/7.

So with all the 3D hype and my feelings on how it may quickly fizzle, you may find it odd that I'm going to bring 3D to CandyGirl Video. Hold on, before you start thinking that I'm planning to buy an HD 3D camera and start shooting 3D DVDs, think again! I have no interest in that. I would only do that if the demand for 3D DVDs was as strong as it is for standard DVDs. No, not 3D movies, but I'm creating 3D picture sets. They're a throwback to the 1950s, the old anaglyph 3D images that require red/blue 3D glasses to view. I'm currently working on transferring some of our hottest images into 3D picture sets! These picture sets will debut this summer as part of a secret project. I can't talk about it all just yet, but the 3D picture sets will be available from our site shortly. A new set will debut once a month (they take a long time to make since I'm having to create the pictures from 1 image source and not the traditional 2 separate images).

So, 3D may be a fad that'll quickly fade away, but at least it inspired us to create naked babes in 3D... and that's the number one thing I've always wanted to see in 3D!

I love New Years, more than Christmas and Thanksgiving actually. It's the perfect time to rededicate yourself to goals, both personal and professional, and it's always fun to reflect back on the past year. 2009 was a bitter sweet year for CandyGirl Video. I was able to get a lot done, but the economy was still bringing sales down (thankfully, that's finally changing) and I learned what a handful of models, that I thought were friends, actually thought about me (I figured they felt the way they did, but it was nicer when I wasn't sure).

Recently, I was looking back on Clip Store orders (for tax time) and looked over the purchase data to discover who the top 10 most downloaded Favorite Flavors were for the year, and it was surprising! Some models that I thought would've been in my top 5, weren't even in my top 10! So here's the official top 10 list of the most downloaded women in CandyGirl Video's Clip Store...

1. Autumn Westin

No surprise here. Autumn Westin is also one of the top search engine terms that bring people to my site, so I knew she would be popular. Autumn had twice as many sales as the second girl on this list, which shows how incredibly popular Autumn is. Needless to say, I will be hiring Autumn Westin again in 2010! I can't get enough of her, and neither can you guys.

2. Addie Juniper

Addie Juniper was the second most popular girl in the Clip Store. I'm not surprised, I get a lot of email from fans positively commenting on Addie, so this data just confirmed what I already knew. Addie + My HD Cam = Sexy as Hell Video! And believe me, there will be many more sexy as hell videos of Addie Juniper to come in 2010.

3. Danielle Trixie

You guys really loved Danielle's sexy exercising clip, it was one of the most downloaded clips all year. That mainly has to do with it starring Danielle, but it's also very popular because it's the only clip of it's kind in the store. Danielle's shower scene was also a hot seller that helped push this sultry sexy blonde to the number 3 spot. I emailed Danielle back in the fall asking her if she would like to shoot again in 2010, and she said yes, so more of Miss Trixie is on the way!

4. Jasmine Grey

No surprise to me that Jasmine Grey is still popular. She was one of a kind. Jasmine's best selling clips were her bikini videos from the DVDs: "Sweet Satisfaction Jasmine Grey" and "Sweet Satisfaction Kobe Lee".

5. Jordan Bentley

This surprised me quite frankly, mainly because I have so little content of Jordan available, but you guys love her. Jordan Bentley's panty shopping/upskirt clip and her Luscious Lingerie scene from "Sweet Satisfaction Jasmine Grey" were red hot sellers all year long.

6. Kalani Breeze

There was a surge in Kalani Breeze clip sales this year, and I'm guessing it was because she returned to doing hardcore videos this summer. Kalani actually emailed me this year looking for work. I'm hoping to shoot an explicit pov scene with her next year for the upcoming "Rock Candy" DVD!

7. Jenni Lee

Jenni Lee's Fashion Show clip and upskirt clips continue to be best sellers. No real surprise here, Jenni is one of Bang Brothers most downloaded models, so folks that want to see a different side of her are coming over to my site to download her clips and buy her DVDs like "Sugar Rush" and "Sweet Satisfaction Jasmine Grey".

8. Amanda Marie

This was the biggest surprise! Amanda only has one clip in the Clip Store, but it's one of my best sellers! It's a sexy clip of Amanda putting her legs behind her head and using a massive toy to get off with. Seeing the massive shaft of that toy fill out her tiny pussy is a thing of beauty. I must admit, I love the way this clip turned out, I got some pretty cool camera shots and angles that will leave you in awe! And since her clip has sold so well, you guys must agree!

I thought Paris would've ranked higher, but I guess it's because I have such little content of her posted. Fear not! I shot several hours of all-new, never before released material of Paris that will slowly become available thru 2010, and it was shot before she got her new tattoos... if you don't like her new tats.

10. Memphis Monroe

This was the biggest disappointment ever! When I hired Memphis Monroe in late 2008, I thought her name value alone would sky rocket my sales... nope, no change at all. I learned a valuable lesson hiring her, I learned that you guys would rather see sexy amateurs, and not established porn stars. Hint taken! You'll be glad to know that in 2010, I'm hiring several unknowns that will be making their nude video debuts for CandyGirl Video... you wont be disappointed!
